A Scottish Milestone
Yes, on Saturday Aug 16 it will be the 30th year in a row that plaid-kilted burly men will be drinking beer, eating haggis, marching to pipe bands and dancing to the some kickin Celtic music at the former Amherst Museum – now known as the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, because apparently that’s sooo much easier to say ; ). McCarthyizm headlines the Scottish Festival this year, playing from 3 pm-5 pm, leading up to the closing ceremonies. But all the fun starts at 10 am so have your morning Irish Coffee and get over there early to take in all the activities. Gonna be a good one!
