Pubbin’ for Phil
Come on over to the Buffalo Irish Center (BIC) on Saturday October 19 for a raucous celebration in the pub with McCarthyizm. It’s our first time back in South Buffalo since the great South Buffalo Irish Feis at Kaz Park back in September. We got reacquainted with our buddy that night, the multi-talented Larry Kirwan of Black 47. He was telling us about the critical condition his good friend Phil Chevron of the Pogues was in due to his cancer re-occurrence. Phil actually just passed away last week. So on Saturday we will definitely raise a pint to Phil. And play some Pogues of course.
Remember, these BIC shows start at 8, yes EIGHT. You’ve been asking for early shows so here you go. Get there EARLY. Also, instead of grabbing drive-through tacos on the way to the Irish Center, sit down and have a great home cooked meal right at the pub. Kitchen is open on Saturday 5:30 – 10 pm. Another reason to get there EARLY, eh?
